Thanks to Rob for the shoutout this week at the sf pen show. 🐙

There is so much i want to write, about what’s happened since i made my account private; about a sense of safety as an artist and how elusive that is; about how being copied, stolen from, and appropriated has complicated my relationship with the joyful act of sharing. But today I’ll just keep it simple. Here is a pin. I made it because it makes me happy. There is a wax seal of it as well. Sometimes making things because they make you happy is enough.

It’s the final, fleeting weekend to check out Bookish, my solo show at @giantrobot. In the rollercoaster that has been 2024 so far, this show has been a meaningful highlight. Thank you to my friends who were there for me before & during & now. Thank you to folks who care about artists and small businesses and books about different cultures.

If you don’t already know all about Giant Robot, there’s a real good documentary about them streaming on PBS Artbound 🩵💜

It’s the final week to check out Bookish at GR2 in LA & just wanted to thank everyone who has visited the show, everyone at GR esp @giantrobot & @cassloop, @mestenwatt, and my friends and family and folks who go above and beyond to support my work & show up for me in these vital, pivotal moments.

Seeing folks i haven’t seen in years at the show opening for BOOKISH made it one of the happiest days I’ve ever had. It means a lot to me. I love you back.

Bookish is up for only one more week at @giantrobot GR2 in LA. I love Giant Robot with all my heart, and it’s such a privilege to be a part of it & @giantrobotstore. I am SO excited for their book coming this October with @drawnandquarterly, too.

These images were run through Glaze, a program designed to protect artwork from AI scraping and misuse.

The opening reception this past weekend was one of the most loving, positive experiences of my life. Reconnecting with friends i haven’t gotten to see in far too long. A lifetime since the pandemic began. A debut of my ceramics. An evening shared with family and old friends and new friends. Thanks for being there if you were there. It made a difference in my life! The joy!
