There are so many experiences i wouldn’t be havi

There are so many experiences i wouldn’t be having on earth if my parents hadn’t left Iran. A country they love, but a country they also no longer recognize. This week, i felt this profoundly while feeling free in wilderness. I stand in solidarity with the women of Iran currently fighting for bodily autonomy, and preserving the memory of Mahsa Amini. They risk their lives to protest. We have our own fights here in the US as well, especially when it comes to reproductive choices and healthcare and gun violence, but the urgency of what is happening in Iran is something to follow if you haven’t yet. Please stay tuned in — as we all know, the attention from the world is the pressure that supports and creates changes.

Beyond excited to have reached a major milestone i

Beyond excited to have reached a major milestone in my @boygirlparty Etsy shop! 50,000 sales!!!!

I love what i do & i hope that shows in every little thing I’ve made, then & now. (A few favorites here in this album!)

This milestone took the course of over 15 years — through a lot of hard work, long hours, site changes, and frustration (ugh USPS), but here i am and it really is something to celebrate. Couldn’t do it without @mestenwatt and my squad of incredible friends and the brilliant hive mind of FTEC (you know who you are) — love you all! I’m lucky to work with incredible printers, publishers, collaborators & supporters!! Grateful for every customer I’ve ever had over the years and especially grateful for those who grew up with me!

Being an artist is not without its hardships & heartbreaks, but honestly nothing beats it! Gotta celebrate little moments like this. It’s just a number on a website, but it represents so many years and friendships and people who believe in me!!!!

Just sent out a doozy of an email update to my mailing list! I feel like i have no words left in me now, but if you got that email, you should read it! THERE IS A LOT TO SEE.

This keychain is new in the shop btw!

And this year, I’m celebrating both 20 years of my shop! and 20 years of my relationship with @mestenwatt. And 30 years of being vegetarian. And nearly 50,000 sales on Etsy (any day now!). And some other things, like this very good cup of coffee (thanks @pegbouvet!).

The 8x8 art show at @giantrobot opens today! The show is incredible and it’s great to be a part of it. I got to see @cassloop installing it in LA! 2062 sawtelle blvd.

Now I’m heading back from the San Francisco pen show where i got to spend quality time with my dear friend @marinaomiart and all the pens and ink! And got to see my pal @penrealm, too! So, so much fun. My heart is full! My wallet is empty!
