This weekend in Los Angeles — first time I’ve had a show since the pandemic began.

Saturday, July 13th at @giantrobot GR2, 2062 Sawtelle Blvd, reception 6-9pm. Artwork goes online at noon. And there’s an exclusive, screen printed T-shirt you can only get at this show (kids sizes, too). Patreons subscribers already know about this one!

I’ll be showing original paintings from my picture book MEMORY GARDEN // I’ll be signing books with my mom (the author!) who will read it aloud to those attending ~6pm! LOTS of ceramics and some new miniature paintings in the show as well. And other surprises. and I’ll be there, and I’d love to see you.

Giant Robot is proud to present Bookish, a solo exhibition by Susie Ghahremani, July 13-30, 2024.

Susie Ghahremani will be in attendance for her solo exhibition opening on July 13th for “Bookish.” Bookish will feature Ghahremani’s signature original art pieces that have adorned the walls of GR2 and Giant Robot Store for decades. They are often composed of cute animals in a colorful settings. Bookish will feature original pages from her “Memory Garden” Children’s Book and Susie and her mother, Zohreh will be signing “Memory Garden” during the exhibition reception, 6-9 PM at GR2. We will have Susie’s merchandise and copies of her previous titles as well.

SUSIE GHAHREMANI is an award-winning illustrator, an internationally exhibiting artist, a designer, and an educator. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design where she has also taught. She is the recipient of awards and honors from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, American Illustration, the Society of Illustrators New York, and the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, and has been profiled in several publications, including The New York Times. She served on the board of ICON the Illustration Conference. Ghahremani lives and creates art in San Diego, CA.
