fleeting immersion
The miniature paintings above will be featured in a show opening this Friday in Los Angeles titled Fleeting Immersion! With a reception on Friday, Sept 17th at 8pm at Tinlark Gallery, 6671 Sunset Blvd, you’ll be immersed in the world of a “Santa Fe Astronaut”, an installation created by 20 artists (think: a mix of moon landing / space age with south west / desert charm). The show runs for one week only, and I’ll be at the reception at 8pm so hope to see you there!
Meanwhile, I’ve got lots of other news to share! My art show in New York runs until September 29th. I’m honored to be a part of Giant Robot NY’s final show before they close their doors permanently. Please stop by if you’re in the area, 437 E 9th St in the East Village, or check the show out online.
NEW IN THE SHOP! The Sparkling Sea Noteblock! At 700 pages, with an octopus on every page, you’ll be all set with paper…for life? Also, REAL SIMPLE magazine just called my Octopus To-Do List a “Problem Solver” and “Smart Find”! Yay!
POLL: Venus Magazine nominated me as best DIY designer of 2010 in their Hotlist! Vote for me, Boygirlparty! Poll ends next week! Yay!
Last, but definitely not least, the new magazine Anthology is not only the most exciting new magazine on the planet, but also has a launch video featuring my song, “Two Weeks Notice”! Check it out on their website!
Ok, that about covers it for now. Below, another image from this weekend’s show: Fleeting Immersion opening this Friday, Sept 17th in LA! If you go to it, or to my show in NYC, please post photos to my Boygirlparty facebook page and I’d be ever so grateful!
