I’m in a group art show in Los Angeles — #grfruitsandveggiesshow opens tomorrow at @giantrobotstore. I painted a couple miniature pieces, and shared behind the scenes process photos on pa_tre_on!
These shows are so fun & such an opportunity to try something new & experiment & play, and I’m grateful to @giantrobot & @cassloop for those experiences!

What a busy weekend it’s been! Between the book crawl / indie bookstore day, my journaling workshop, book signings, deadlines, and art shows,… i’m tuckered out.

How are you keeping up with the world back its full volume and hustle? Running on empty or ready for it? (Or both?) Finding balance or overcommitted? I’m curious how others are navigating what feels like a transitional time to me!

Indie bookstore day is one of my favorite days & ways to celebrate the wonderful booksellers that curate our learning and bring our community together. This journal i made published during the pandemic and my local stores showed me so much support that was so hard to find in the world at that time for a new book release. I will love them forever, but this just adds to the reasons!

It’s an absolute dream when I’m asked to illus

It’s an absolute dream when I’m asked to illustrate with just the right amount of constraints to inspire my curiosity and creativity. that’s what happened when @harperwilde’s incredible & creative art director @jesseefish (honestly one of the best humans ever) sent me the wistful color palette for their new California Collection and asked me to create artwork inspired by my love for our state. I can think of no greater peace than what I’ve felt in Big Sur, surrounded by tall trees and bobbing around like the otters offshore… so that’s where i went with my illustration.

@harperwilde commissioned a unique set of postcards by several amazing local artists & I’m so proud to be among them. it’s available through them free with their California Collection.

Loved working on this project & i hope it shows in my illustration! 🦦 🤍 thank you to Jessee and HW for trusting me with this special project!

is there anything better than just quietly hanging out together, doing nothing? This little detail from my Sunset Farm painting is my favorite part, but especially the stumpy arms.
